My brother is vacationing in California, mentioned he's seen several cars disguised during his time there. I'm guessing Mazda or Infiniti. I'm sure one of you know, I just don't keep up with future crossovers.

Definitely a Mazda. Facelifted CX5?

I'd hazard a guess at Mazda CX-3

The overhangs are a lot bigger than the CX-3.

Lots of them running around here in Canada already, pretty small. I would say smaller than this.

My thoughts, too, looks too big to be a CX-3.

I'm thinking that with a facelift.

Agree with Mazda CX-5. Right Foot Down is getting one to review tomorrow, by the way.

But Mazda just released a facelifted CX-5.
I’m thinking it’s a new CX-9 that finally does away with the Ford CD3 platform, replacing it with basically a stretched, 7-seater version of the CX-5.

I think this is the correct answer. They definitely just released the CX-5 facelift, no need to keep that camo’d anymore.

Found some pics of the facelifted CX5 - I’m like 99% certain it’s that.

The new CX-5 is already out, so I don’t see why Mazda would still be covering it up.
It’s either the CX-3 or their new 3-row crossover that they’re developing.

Here’s a thought. There’s a lot of rear overhang there, and the facelifted CX-5 is already on sale. Could it be a new CX-7 or CX-9? I think yes.

Yep, could be a CX-7 resurrection. Hopefully it doesn’t have the engine issues the old one had.

*crosses fingers* Please be a Mazdaspeed, please be a Mazdaspeed . I don’t really care if it’s a CX-5, it would be awesome to a new hot Mazda* hit the market.
*That isn’t a Miata.

That long rear door and large quarter window (plus the fact that the CX-5 JUST got a refresh and the CX-3 has already been revealed) means that its the 2016/17 CX-9.

Why cover it? It would attract less attention if it would look like a normal car.
